Understanding Our Constitution:
This site has been created with the intent of demonstrating the ultimate purpose behind our Constitution.
Our Nation’s Origin, in a nutshell.
The catalyst for the creation of our Constitution was slavery itself. The founders of this nation were being subjected to “statutory plunder”.
[ British laws designed to put the American colonists under tribute by means of excessive taxation and duties on imports/exports.]
The King sends his Land and Naval forces to ensure that his laws are enforced.

A series of Resolutions, Declarations and Petitions were circulated among the Colonies which were reviewed and condensed into what we know as the Articles of Association. A peaceful means of petitioning the King coupled with proposed sanctions, should the King refuse to acquiesce.

King George, of course, ignore’s the Articles of Association which leads to the Revolutionary War and the Declaration of Independence.

While the Revolutionary War was raging, A document [known as the “Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union”] was drafted and ratified as a ‘placeholder’ for our Constitution. Of Course, the ONLY branch of government to be addressed was the Legislative.

The Rest, as they say, is history. The Colonies defeated the World Power that was Great Britain. They declared themselves independent of all European nations and in the peace that followed the Revolutionary War, they set about the task of designing a document for the purpose of preventing the criminal act of “Statutory Plunder” from ever being committed against the citizens of this nation again.

If onw will notice, the First Article of our Constitution [which is directed at Congress] has ten sections whereas the Second Article [directed at the President and Vice-President] has only 4 sections and the Third Article [directed at the Judiciary] has only Three.
Why do the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union address Congress alone and the First [and largest] Article is also directed at Congress? The answer is simple, Tyrannic Lawmakers are responsible for the outbreak of the Revolutionary War [and many others, as history has shown]. Lawmakers must be the first to be brought under control, if a nation of people are to prosper in peace.
